About Me

My name is Paul Rees and I am an accredited member of the Institute of Civil Funerals. I qualified as a funeral celebrant following training with Civil Ceremonies Ltd.

I have worked within the education sector for nearly 30 years, and although my main career has been as a primary school teacher, I have also been a youth arts worker, exhibiting artist and theatre practitioner during the course of my career. I consider being a funeral celebrant to be a real privilege and honour.

I was born in Pontypool but grew up in Neath where I still live. I’m passionate about art, theatre, films, television, radio, a wide range of music and also enjoy running to stay fit. I enjoy holidays, and the chance to explore Wales and the wider world. I love socialising and the company of friends, as well as spending time making all sorts of memories with my family.
